Database Administration
Database Administration Database availability, security, safety, stability, performance and reliability are the most critical factors in the success of a business. We provide our clients the following proactive and superior services for leading databases (specialized in all versions of SQL Server) to ensure no data loss, superior quality, optimized performance and high availability of databases:
  • Database Installation, Configuration and Upgrade: We are experienced in installing and configuring all versions of databases, including, but not limited to, SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2000, and their components such as SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services, and upgrading or migrating from the previous to the latest versions of databases, such as SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2005. We also have deep knowledge of Access, Oracle and MySQL.
  • Database Monitoring and Troubleshooting: We proactively monitor database jobs, alerts, error logs, event logs, traces, and storage, and provide 24/7 database troubleshooting, problem determination and resolutions should critical errors and events occur.
  • Performance Monitoring & Tuning and Query Optimization: We proactively monitor, fine-tune and optimize database servers' performance and queries using the native tools, such as Activity Monitor, Performance Monitor, SQL Server Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Execution Plan, Dynamic Management Views and System Stored Procedure, and the 3rd party tools, such as DBArtisan.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup & Restore: Disaster Recovery is the most critical task in a business in case of disaster, because every business depends on reliable databases. We provide our clients fully documented and tested comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plan so that our clients can have peace of mind. We also proactively monitor backups and routinely test restores to ensure databases are safe and recoverable.
  • Database Security: A database must be protected from unintended activity, such as authenticated misuse, malicious attacks, or inadvertent mistakes made by authorized individuals or processes. We proactively secure databases through network/system and database itself, such as firewall, audit trace, access control and authentication via logins and users, and encryption.
  • High Availability Solutions: Minimizing the downtime is very crucial to every business. Our high availability solutions include Replication, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, and Failover Clustering.
  • Capacity Planning: We proactively monitor database growth and perform proactive database level capacity planning to ensure sufficient storage and optimized database performance. We have experience in RAID and SAN configurations.
  • Maintenance and Support: Since database administration is strongly related to network and system, we also provide network/system maintenance and support services, such as Active Directory, Network Security, Windows Updates, SAN, Firewall, Device Configuration and VPN.
Data Architecture
Data architecture describes the data structures used by a business and/or its applications. We break the subject down by going through 3 traditional architectural processes:
  • Conceptual Data Model: The representation of all business entities.
  • Logical Data Model: The representation of the logic of how entities are related.
  • Physical Data Model: The realization of the data mechanisms for a specific type of functionality.
We are experience in designing and maintaining Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models and Data Dictionary using Entity-Relationship (E-R) Diagram and Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools, such as ER Studio, ERWin, Visible Analyst, and MS Visio.
Database and Application Development
Database and Application Development Database Design is the key to high quality Database Development. This specification should include Database Design, User Design, Business Rules Design, Test Plan, Implementation Plan, Training Plan, and Hardware Acquisition/Deployment Plan in order to make the project a success. We are committed to delivering reliable, high quality custom database solutions to our clients.

We provide Database and Application Development services for SQL Server, Access, Oracle and MySQL databases. We use the latest development technologies including VB.NET/VB/VBA/VBScript, C# and ASP.NET, and ensure that our clients' custom applications function properly. We are also specialized in ETL tools such as SQL Server Integration Services for Data Warehouse.
Web Design and Development
We offer professional Web Design and Development services tailored specifically to our valued client's needs. Whether it's a simple brochure site or a feature-rich web portal, we work with our client to deliver maximum value.

We provide Web Development for SQL Server, Access, Oracle and MySQL databases, and are highly proficient in ASP.NET/ASP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Graphic Design.
Project Management
Project Management Our Project Management service includes planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to ensure the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. We carefully consider our clients' overall project objectives, timeline, and cost, as well as the roles and responsibilities of all participants and stakeholders. Our typical phased approach involves the following steps:
  • Initiation
  • Planning, design and development
  • Execution, production and construction
  • Monitoring and controlling
  • Completion and closing
Business Analysis and Systems Analysis
We carefully identify our clients' business needs, analyze their specific business requirements, and perform comprehensive Cost Benefit Analysis. We use Systems Analysis modeling tool (i.e., Unified Modeling Language (UML) Use Case tool), such as ER Studio, MS Visio and Rational Rose, for identifying and expressing the functional requirements of a system. Our Business and Systems Analysis process constitutes the following:
  • Feasibility Study
  • Scope Definition
  • Problem Analysis
  • Requirements Analysis
  • Cost Benefit Analysis
  • Logical Design
  • Decision Analysis
